Yurakucho can be confusing because JR and Tokyo Metro use different exit systems.
JR exits have names such as Ginza Exit and Hibiya Exit.
Tokyo Metro exits use numbers such as D4, D5, D7, and D8.
So before looking for an exit, first check whether you are at JR Yurakucho Station or Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Station (Y18).

Tokyo International Forum
Tokyo International Forum is very close to Yurakucho Station.
From JR, use the International Forum Exit.
From Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Station, use D5.
Tokyo International Forum officially states that D5 is about a 1-minute walk and connects to its B1 concourse.
Bic Camera Yurakucho
For Bic Camera Yurakucho, use:
JR → Hibiya Exit
Tokyo Metro → D4
Bic Camera officially lists both the JR Hibiya Exit and Metro D4 as about a 1-minute walk from the store.
Tokyo Metro also lists Bic Camera for D4 and D6.
LUMINE Yurakucho
For LUMINE Yurakucho, use:
JR → Ginza Exit
Tokyo Metro → D7
LUMINE officially lists the JR Ginza Exit as about a 1-minute walk and Metro D7 as about a 3-minute walk.
If you are going somewhere else in Ginza, check your exact destination before leaving the station. Ginza covers a large area, so the best exit may be different.
Yurakucho Marui and ITOCiA
For Yurakucho Marui and Yurakucho ITOCiA, use:
JR → Central Exit
Tokyo Metro → D7
Yurakucho ITOCiA’s official English page lists the JR Central Exit and Metro D7 as nearby access points.
D7 also has an elevator to street level, which can be useful if you have a suitcase or stroller.
Tokyo Kotsu Kaikan
For Tokyo Kotsu Kaikan, use:
JR → Kyobashi Exit or Central Exit
Tokyo Metro → D8
The building’s official access information lists both JR exits as about a 1-minute walk and Metro D8 as about a 1-minute walk.
Its official FAQ says Kyobashi Exit is the closest JR exit.
Metro D8 connects directly to the building.
JR Exit Names and Metro D Numbers Are Different
This is the most important thing to remember at Yurakucho Station.
JR Yurakucho Station has exits including:
- Central Exit
- Kyobashi Exit
- Ginza Exit
- Central West Exit
- Hibiya Exit
- International Forum Exit
Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Station uses numbered exits:
D1 to D9
However, D2 is currently closed.
So if Google Maps tells you to use D5, do not look for D5 inside the JR station.
D5 is a Tokyo Metro exit.
Check Exit Hours if You Travel Early or Late
Tokyo Metro marks some exits as having limited opening hours.
Among the exits mentioned in this guide, D4 and D5 have limited hours.
If you are traveling very early in the morning or late at night, check the Tokyo Metro station page before your trip.
Traveling With Luggage?
If you are using Tokyo Metro, D7 has an elevator to street level.
For JR, elevator routes are available through the Central Exit and Kyobashi Exit side.
If you have a large suitcase, stroller, or difficulty using stairs, the closest exit is not always the easiest exit.
