Arrived at Roppongi Station but not sure which exit to use?
The two destinations many visitors look for are:
Roppongi Hills
and
Tokyo Midtown
They are on different sides of Roppongi Station, so checking your destination before leaving the station can save you extra walking.
Roppongi Hills — Official Access
Tokyo Midtown — Official Access
Tokyo Metro — Roppongi Station
Tokyo Metro — Roppongi-itchome Station
1. Going to Roppongi Hills?
If you are using the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line, look for:

Roppongi Hills is directly connected from the station concourse.
If you are using the Toei Oedo Line, use:
Exit 3
Roppongi Hills is about a 4-minute walk from Exit 3.
So remember:
Hibiya Line → Exit 1C
Oedo Line → Exit 3
Check the Roppongi Hills official access information for the latest route.
2. Going to Tokyo Midtown?
If you are using the Toei Oedo Line, look for:

If you are using the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line, Tokyo Midtown is also connected to Roppongi Station by an underground passage.
There are stairs along part of the underground route.
So remember:

Hibiya Line → Follow signs for Tokyo Midtown
Check the Tokyo Midtown official access information for the latest route.
3. Roppongi Hills or Tokyo Midtown?
Here is the simple version:
Roppongi Hills
- Hibiya Line → Exit 1C
- Oedo Line → Exit 3
Tokyo Midtown
- Oedo Line → Exit 8
- Hibiya Line → Follow signs for Tokyo Midtown
Before following an exit number, check which train line you used.
Roppongi Station serves both the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line and the Toei Oedo Line.
4. Do Not Confuse Roppongi Station With Roppongi-itchome Station
Roppongi Station and Roppongi-itchome Station are different stations.
Roppongi Station is served by:
- Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line
- Toei Oedo Line
Roppongi-itchome Station is served by:
- Tokyo Metro Namboku Line
If your map says Roppongi-itchome, do not assume you are arriving at Roppongi Station.
5. What If You Use the Wrong Exit?
Do not worry.
Roppongi Hills and Tokyo Midtown are both within the wider Roppongi area.
Before going back underground, check your current location on Google Maps.
Sometimes walking above ground is easier than returning to the station and searching for another exit.
Remember This at Roppongi Station
If you remember only this:
- Roppongi Hills → Exit 1C from Hibiya Line / Exit 3 from Oedo Line
- Tokyo Midtown → Exit 8 from Oedo Line / underground connection from Hibiya Line
